Contact

Please contact us by using the form below. Please select the appropriate category to insure that your message will be routed correctly. We do tend to get a lot of email, so you may not get a reply as fast as you'd like, or indeed at all.

Before you contact us, please note the following:

General:

  • Please use the __search function__! It's likely that the answers to your questions are already on the site. If we know they are, chances of you getting a reply to a query are low.
  • If you have a question that doesn't need to be private, such as "What is this ingredient / what do I do with this ingredient?", or "Where do I get such-and-such?" etc., or you just want to say hi or give us some constructive criticism, please post it as a comment on this page instead of using the contact form. Requests for future articles or recipes should also go there.
  • Questions about a specific article should be posted in the comments for that article.

Advertising, link exchanges and so on:

  • We do not participate in link exchanges or requests to link to your blog/site. All such requests will be ignored. The best way to get us to notice your blog is to link to us in a real post (don't just stick one of our sites in a blogroll) and be actually interested in what Just Hungry or Just Bento are about.
  • We often get asked to "partner" with us. We don't know what that means to be honest. Please be specific in what way you want to "partner" - advertising on our site: Want a link back (see above)? Want a blurb? etc. And please read our advertising policies.
  • PR people: You're free to send us information about your client or event, but do not expect that we will write about it. Repeat messages with the same information bugging us to write about your client/event/etc. are not appreciated.
  • Members of the press, graduate students, and other researchers: While we would love to help you out, we simply do not have the time to provide you with long, detailed information about this or that subject. Therefore, queries along the lines of "give me a list of restaurants in Kyuushuu" or "explain how Japanese people stay thin" are most likely to go unacknowledged. There are hundreds of articles on this site and our sister site Just Bento which may help you along the way. The search function, which searches both sites at once, is your friend.
  • Sorry, we can't act as a buying agent for you to obtain something from Japan. You may want to try one of the overseas shipping services mentioned on this page.
